The last two months have been filled to overflowing with many, many changes. After a “surprise” wedding on August 7th, Jenn moved to Ada, Oklahoma to join John in his hometown. In addition to navigating long-distance treatments for Jenn, the newlyweds have been settling into a beautiful, blessing of a home and a loving fellowship of believers at H20 Church in Ada.
Recently things took a difficult turn when Jenn’s tests revealed that her cancer had advanced aggressively into her liver, bones and a fast-growing mass on her sternum. Jenn is resting comfortably at home with the assistance of hospice care.
Rest assured, the Kimbrell home is overflowing with love, and even laughter despite circumstances. God is present and alive in the midst of all – and He is and always will be a God of comfort, peace and hope.
Jenn’s family, friends and the very community of Ada have sprung into action as the hands and feet of Jesus throughout this storm. Her brothers and sisters in Christ continue to pour out blessings by bringing worship to Jenn, along with food, sweet visits and coveted prayer. Needs have been met (and exceeded) in humbling ways.
Your encouragement, kind wishes and prayers are treasured. Jenn – and all who love her – are thankful for every member of her blog “family.” You have played a unique part in this journey, and it has been better in countless ways as a result. Thank you, and many blessings.
